從影音(Audiovisual)空隙中竄出的身體

個人電腦時代的來臨，藝術家開始大量使用電腦作為演奏的工具，而從華格納以來所打造的聲光總體藝術概念，也由於數位技術的產生而能夠全面性的掌控。因而投影和音響成了許多藝術家的必備工具，並且衍生出了所謂Audiovisual一詞，這個詞彙指的不僅是聲音和影像的結合，更指的是兩著結合而產生的特殊感知，因為數位技術能夠同時打造聲音與影像的訊息傳送，使得我們對影音的接收方式徹底的改變。在這個脈絡下，Audiovisual最重要的是影音關係的一種預設，認為聲音和聲像具有內在的本質性關係，而不是如過去為了感知體驗，所打造的聲光效果場景。若從社會性的角度觀察這組預設，則會發現聲音和影像的接收是一種階序的特殊關係。
