Artist︱ Yi-Ping CHENG

Yi-Ping CHENG, aka Betty Apple, majored in performance in undergraduate school of TNUA. At her teenage, Betty Apple was involved into varieties of production and performance, from theater to movie. From 2007 on, electronic music has led her into a more mysterious stream of life. She then started to create electronic music with synthesizer and computer. Studying her MFA degree in School of Film and New Media of TNUA,  she is experimenting on adding theatrical features to the sound performance art , sound installations using concrete sounds and electronica music elements.

Performance Introduction︱ Pass Through

Sex, and then birth. Function, and then vibration.

Falling in love, then making chemistry. Being dead, then leaving the world of substance.

I create memory through the past. I imagine the future through the time.

Through the virtual screen, you are there. With love eggs, one has pleasure.

A sound festival in which the love eggs and breaths interchange.

A wrestling in which the minds and nerves liberate from repressing.

鄭宜蘋 aka Betty Apple , 大學出身於北藝大戲劇系,主修表演。 

少女時期跨足劇場與電影各種製作演出,2007年後電子音樂使她進入了更神祕的生命之流。並開始使用合成器與電腦創作電子音樂。 

目前就讀北藝大新媒體藝術研究所,傾向使用具象聲響與電子樂音實驗具有劇場特質的現場與聲音裝置。
